Blade-Lock was developed in collaboration with world-class archer Levi Morgan to allow bow hunters to practice and hunt with the same broadheads. Levi wanted to be able to tune his bow, arrows, and all other accessories to the exact hunting broadhead he would be using in the field while minimizing the chances of dulling or damaging the blades during practice.
To accomplish this, the main blades on Swhacker broadhead models with Blade-Lock technology can be locked in the closed position using a specially engineered locking screw. Bowhunters can practice with the same broadheads they plan to hunt with, resulting in true flight and performance feedback.
Using a Swhacker with Blade-Lock technology provides significant benefits over having separate practice heads. In addition to saving you the money you’d otherwise spend on a practice head, you’ll be able to confirm that each individual broadhead matches perfectly with each arrow. And when you’re ready to hunt, all you need to do is remove the Blade-Lock screw with the included flathead screwdriver. The Blade-Lock screw can be conveniently stored in the rearmost hole on all Swhacker broadheads that feature Blade-Lock technology.
Blade-Lock technology can be found on all Levi Morgan Series Swhacker mechanical broadheads as well as several other Swhacker mechanical broadheads. See the full list of broadheads with Blade-Lock technology below.
Happy hunting!
